F.G Girls Degree College was established in July 2007 under the Principalship of its first Principal, the late Mrs. Amna Nadir. Initially, the college offered Intermediate programs in Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, ICS, and Humanities, along with BA and BSc classes.
In February 2011, Dr. Farhana Sarwar took over as Principal, bringing new initiatives and achievements to the college. During her tenure, new laboratories were constructed, and the college saw significant improvements in academic results. For six years, the college operated as a degree-level institution, offering BA and BSc programs.
In 2017, the college transitioned to Advanced Diplomas in Arts and Science (ADA & ADS), which continued until 2020. This period saw notable developmental work, including the upgrading of laboratories and library facilities, as well as the construction of a futsal for sports student activities.
In 2021, the college adopted a 4-year BS program in English, affiliated with the National University of Pakistan. This shift reflects the national trend towards BS degrees in F.G institutions.
Today, F.G Girls Degree College, Quetta Cantt stands as a prominent women’s college in the region, serving as a key higher education hub for women in Balochistan. Its commitment to academic excellence and student development has earned it a reputation as a leading institution in the area.
